With the eagerly anticipated FA Trophy tie with FC United of Manchester now less than two weeks away, the club can confirm that match day arrangements that will be in place for this game.

As with the FC Halifax Town and Stockport County games earlier in the season, it is unfortunate but the club will be employing a ‘soft-segregation’ policy for the match.

This decision has been made to ensure spectator safety.

Due to the limited amount of space available along the Ashby Street side of the ground, the segregation is being used entirely to prevent a potential ‘crush’ situation arising if large numbers of supporters from both sides attempted to change ends at any stage during the tie.

‘Soft-segregation’ means that stewards will be policing the areas of the ground where supporter’s areas meet as both clubs agree there is no need for physical barriers between the two sets of friendly fans.

Chorley supporters will enter the ground as normal via the Duke Street end turnstiles.

FC United fans will be housed in the Pilling Lane end of the stadium and will have access to a limited number of seats in the main stand.
