CHORLEY are through to the final of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy for the 32nd time in the club’s history after seeing off the plucky challenge of North West Counties League First Division side AFC Darwen at the County Ground in Leyland.

Adam Roscoe and Simon Wiles netted a goal in each half to see a much changed Chorley side through to the March 17 showpiece at the Reebok Stadium home of Bolton Wanderers when they will face either Bamber Bridge of AFC Fylde.

The Magpies are chasing a 16th trophy win in the final.

Meanwhile, boss Garry Flitcroft will recall his big guns to the side tomorrow as he turns his attention back to the race for promotion into the Skrill North as his men face the long trip to Kings Lynn in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division.

The Magpies are top of the table, two points clear of Skelmersdale United and they have two games in hand.

But they will have to be on their mettle at The Walks against a side who sit in sixth place.
