Garry Flitcroft is relishing the chance of taking on Tamworth again tomorrow.
The Chorley boss, whose side played out a 1-1 draw with Tamworth in the FA Trophy on Saturday, said: “We have been getting 1,000-plus at home this season and have played really well there.
“I am quietly confident that we get a result there on Tuesday now, I think we have shown enough for that to be the case already.”
Chorley were cheered on by a big away following of more than 500 and for Flitcroft they could have done enough to get a result for the away side.
He said: “The crowd were amazing for us. The Tamworth support created some noise but our lot drove us on.
“I was not expecting that many of them to be honest, I thought we may get 300 or 350.
“To see 500 plus is special.”
And that large following was nearly rewarded.
Flitcroft said: “I thought from back to front my players were superb. They created so many chances and I am sure we did enough to win.
“In the first-half especially we were very good and it is shame we did not get the reward we deserved after that display.”
