Chorley pro looks to go out on high

Chorley pro JJ Smuts plays his last game for the club tomorrow – and is looking to break a record and finish on a high.

Smuts is leaving early in order to play for the South African Emerging Players.

And he has been a success at Windsor Park, having scored 713 league runs at 59.42 and taken 33 wickets at 21.64.

Chorley are at Lancaster and Smuts needs seven runs to break the club’s batting record of 719, set by Kiwi Stuart Duff 23 years ago.
