An unbeaten 49 from professional Friedel de Wet saw Chorley home to a four wicket victory against Carnforth on Saturday.

Left arm spinner Rex Purnell had earlier taken 5 for 30 while Bill Smith had Carnforth's in-form professional Ryan Bailey caught behind for 23 by deputy wicket-keeper Andy Holdsworth as Chorley restricted the hosts to 187 for 9.

Chorley remain in sixth place in the 3D Northern Premier League table.

Blackpool have taken over the top spot after beating previous leaders Leyland by four runs at Fox Lane on Saturday.
