Chorley professional Friedel de Wet took four wickets for 59 runs for Lancashire 2nd XI yesterday in their match against Durham at Alderley Edge.
Tom Smith, meanwhile, made a stunning return to first team county action in Lancashire's Twenty/20 Cup match against Yorkshire at Headingley when he clean bowled Michael Vaughan with his first ball.
He later took a superb catch on the boundary but couldn't prevent Yorkshire winning the Roses battle by two wickets despite finishing with impressive figures of one wicket for 21 runs in 3.4 overs.
