Chorley boxer Michael Jennings will return to action in an eight rounder in Glasgow in November as he awaits news of a possible world title bid.

The 31-year-old, has been defeated just once in more than 30 fights, and has been linked to a shot at the WBO welterweight title against Miguel Angel Cotto.

Jennings is the current WBU welterweight champion and is number two in the WBO ratings.

He last fought in Bolton in April, earning a seventh-round stoppage, his 16th early win and in February Jennings knocked out Ross Minter at the ExCeL Arena in a thrilling defence of his belt.

No opponent has been announced for his fight in Glasgow, which takes place at the Kelvin Hall.

Kell Brook will top the bill in a British welterweight title defence against Kevin McIntyre.

Brook, who holds Jennings' old belt, is currently WBO number 13.
