August is a very busy period of the year for Chorley AC athletes with the track and field meeting at Lancaster where world veteran gold medallist John Wright was fourth in the 100m and Bolu Olufa fifth in the 200m before gaining sixth in the 400m.

Luke Betts and Adam Sciacca had a brilliant 1st and 2nd in the 3,000m with Luke then going 3rd in the 400m and 2nd in the 800m and Adam 3rd in the triple jump.

Brother Ryan Sciacca was 4th in the 400m with Ben Ramsay 6th and 8th in the 800m, Lee Blundell was 3rd in the discus and 1st in the javelin, Fergus Tallon 3rd in the 200m and 6th in the 800m. In the ladies Jodie Farnworth won the high jump.

This Saturday, August 21 has the Darwen Gala fell race before the final Harrock Hill race on Wed, August 25 with the Inter-Club fell race at Pendleton on the following Saturday (August 28) and the Mid Lancs T&F medal meeting at Stanley Park, Blackpool on Sunday, August 29.
