CHORLEY AC’s chairman, international race walker John Payn, devastated the field in the 30k British Masters Race Walking Championships held at Warwick University.
In very warm conditions, Payn led home competitors to take Gold yet again in a very creditable time of 3 hours 48 minutes.
Payn felt he could have gone faster but was happy just to take gold given the conditions.
