Juniors lead the way for Chorley AC

Two Chorley Athletic Club juniors finished with impressive results at the English Junior Fell Championships this week.

Joe Ellison came 10th on the street Ambleside course with the under 14s race, while Luke Betts finished ninth in the under 16s.

Two of the clubs veterans also completed this week in the Badger 10k race in Cuerden Park. Battling through injuries Mike Coppin came home in 147th in just over an hour, and Les Paul 151st in one hour and 20 minutes.

Paul Wareing had his first competitive outing since injury when he finished 23rd in the St Annes Carnival 5k, finishing an impressive fourth place in the over 45s category.

In the Chorley Harriers Trail race Paul Bass led Chorley AC home in 37th, with Steven Wilde 91st, Phil McCullagh 92ndand Eddie Murray back after an operation 103rd, all gaining the 8th team place.
