The 24th Annual VIGA/Tony Bolton Sports "Thirsty Three" Multi terrain 5K takes place Sunday, at 3.15pm, from Black Lion Farm, Heapey.
Organised by Heapey and Wheelton Village Hall Committee, the race is the oldest multi terrain one in the area.
Runners can enjoy taking in the scenic delights of "Surrender Hill" but also enjoy free the Village Fete which takes place at 1.15pm.
Historically the race would be 25 years old, but was curtailed during the foot and mouth outbreak.
For under 13 runners the 1 mile Gallop takes place at 3.20pm.
