Chorley Athletic Club finish 5th at Leverhulme Park

Mid Lancs T and F League at Leverhulme Park, Bolton saw Chorley Athletic Club finish 5th out of 16 teams taking part in both the Mens and Womens Div2.
U13 Boy Ben Whipp had a great win in the Javelin with a throw of 32.93 and had two 2nd places in the Shot 7.60 and Discus 20.83.
Again in the U13 Boys Daniel Bebbington had an excellent run for 3rd in the 800m in a time of 2.27.60.
In the sprints U17 Man Michael Hough's time of 11.70 for 2nd place was another terrific result and in the Senior Mens very competitive 100m and 200m races Simon Sumner took 6th spot in Heat 1 with 11.80 and 23.90 respectively and in Heat 2 John Wright finished 6th and 4th clocking 12.60 and 24.70.
In the Girls events U13 Rhiann Beaumont competed in three events with an excellent win in the Shot with 7.72, 3rd in the Discus 13.95 and was 6th in Heat 2 of the 100m with 15.20.
Senior Lady Jeanette Murray also competed in three events recording 200m 4th 33.50, 400m 5th and Javelin 5th and Charlotte Murray came 4th in the Javelin.
