Five Chorley Harriers were in the Lake District for the Helvellyn Fell Race which featured 4500ft of climbing over an 11 mile course in extremely high winds.
Two runners from the club made the top 20 with Dominic Raby 15th in 1.57.25 and John Sutton taking 20th place in 2.00.37.
Adam Critchley ran strongly for 41st in 2 hours 10 minutes, as did Gary Platt who was home on the stroke of 2 hours 30. Nicola Raby made the trip in 2 hours 37minutes.
