The Chorley junior athletes turned out in force for the third Astley Park Trail race where Byron Baker (10th) just led home George Norris (11th), Jack Wilson (12th), Ben Hughes (13th) and PJ Holden (15th).

Chorley boys and girls both finished as second teams to Horwich.

On Thursday, July 11 there is the Bull Hill fell race with the primary medal meeting at Wigan for the juniors on Friday.

The final race in the club's trail series takes place on the August 7 and this should be the larger of the races so far given that it is part of the Central Lancs Grand Prix but more importantly is in honour of the very popular blind runner Mike Ogle who died last year. All club members are urged to support this event either by running or volunteering to help.
