Darwen’s 18-year-old England U19 World Cup starlet Alex Davies will make his County Championship debut today as he keeps wicket for Lancashire in their Division One clash with Surrey at Liverpool.
The Red Rose were relegated last week and Davies gets the nod over Gareth Cross
The 18-year old has already made a one-day debut for Lancashire, playing a CB40 match against Glamorgan at Colwyn Bay last year.
He has just returned from Australia where he was a member of England's Under 19's World Cup team.
