Two golfing pensioners are to compete for a national title this week.

Arnold Almond, from Whittle-le-Woods and Jim McCullough, from Leyland will take part in the Audi quattro UK Cup Final at Bowood Golf and Country Club near Calne, Wiltshire, on Thursday.

Almond, 69, and playing partner McCullough, 66 contest the one-day, competition along with 34 other amateur golfers bidding for the national title.

The top-two pairs go on to represent Great Britain at the World Cup Final in South Africa in November.
