Lancashire Women’s first game of the ECB Women’s County Championship season ended in defeat as they lost to Warwickshire at Birmingham’s King Edward’s School.
Lancashire started well with Jasmine Titmuss claiming two early wickets and there was also a brace for Kate Cross and Natalie Brown with Chloe Wallwork also striking.
But Warwickshire’s Helen Shipman made 68 and the home side posted 156-9.
Lancashire’s batting has been a major hurdle and despite Jen Laycock’s 17 and Jess Couser's 13 they were 75 all out.
The women entertain the Netherlands at Urmston on Sunday before a clash with Wales on Monday.
