CHORLEY FC chairman Ken Wright has hailed Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash with Chester FC as ‘the match of the season’ in the EvoStik League Premier Division.

Garry Flitcroft’s Magpies can move to within a point of the league leaders if they avenge the 3-0 defeat they suffered at the Deva Stadium.

A bumper crowd is expected for the eagerly-anticipated all-ticket tie and Wright believes the two sets of fans could be treated to a classic.

The Magpies supremo said: “Chester are setting the pace at the top of the table but there’s a long way to go and we believe we can give them a run for their money.

“If we were to win on Saturday it would make things interesting at the top of the table.”

The Magpies have been working with police and Chester in a bid to avoid a repeat of the violent scenes that marred last year’s corresponding fixture.

Magpies supporters will be able to buy tickets from the club office between 10am and 3pm and 6pm and 9pm until Friday.

No tickets will be available on the day of the game.
