Magpie boss Steve Waywell has made a key backroom signing in physiotherapist Alan Bent following Liam Robinson’s move to a full-time position in Australia.

Alan recently joined Blackpool from Bury, where he was first-team physio.

His duties at Bloomfield Road allow him to help Chorley and Waywell regards his arrival as a massive signing.

“Alan has a lot of experience and tremendous contacts and I¹m pleased that my players are literally in good hands,” said the Magpie boss.

“Liam leaves with our best wishes because he was well liked. We’ll miss him.”
