Only two matches took place in the Chorley Nissan Sunday League with Bridge Rangers picking up three points in an 11-2 thrashing of the Market Taverners while Clayton Nomads fought out a goaless draw with Chillis at Astley Village.

In the Sunday Shield, FC Funktion conceded late goals again to go down 3-2 to Bridge Celtic and AFC Whittle's recent bad run continued with a 4-0 thrashing by Springfields.

The Bay Horse beat The Duke of York with Lee Hughes scoring early for the Duke but goals from Dave and Ian Kerwin plus a Craig Holiday strike sealed the win for Bay Horse.
