Chorley’s Nick Dougherty is looking for a top 10 finish in the European Open, which starts today at the London Club.
Dougherty is hanging on to an automatic Ryder Cup place by his fingernails after slipping from sixth place to 10th in the rankings. Only the top 10 qualify for the clash at Valhalla in September.
The former QEGS pupil has posted just a brace of top-10 finishes during the past five months.
