CHORLEY striker Darren Stephenson has handed in a transfer request at Victory Park.
The Magpies top scorer last term believes the club are pricing him out of a move to the Football League or National League.
Tranmere are the latest club to show an interest in the 23-year-old, who scored 18 times last season as Matt Jansen's side finished seventh in the National League North.
Stephenson has a year remaining on his deal at Victory Park but he is keen to make the move into full-time football this summer.
The Magpies have already rejected a bid from York City, who were relegated from League Two at the end of the season, for their star man, while several League Two clubs have also been keeping tabs on the former Bradford City trainee.
Chorley chairman Ken Wright insisted earlier this month that Stephenson would only depart if the club got an offer that met their valuation, although he said they wouldn't stand in his way if a Football League club came knocking.
