The Chorley ladies only just missed out on being team winners with an excellent second.
The Chorley team finished a creditable fifth.
The Inter-Club fell race at a horrendously steep Farleton Knott (4.5km) saw prodigious fell runner Darren Fishwick finish 18th producing an amazing run after he had done the hard Borrowdale classic race the day.
Charlie Catterall, aged 10, from Euxton took part in the Kidney Transplant Games.
She is coached at long jump by chief coach John Payn and she claimed a silver medal, missing out on gold by 1cm. As a multi-discipline eventer Charlie also took part in the 50 metres and she claimed 5th place but achieved greater success in the table tennis, taking a bronze medal.
