A NEW warehouse facility will bring small to medium businesses to Chorley.

Pochin’s Ltd, the North West property and construction specialist, has extended its relationship with industrial developer Chancerygate to announce the £3.3m contract for the facility at Eaton Point, Chorley.

The 50,000 sq ft scheme has planning permission for 13 units aimed at the thriving SME sector in Lancashire, and the range of units on offer start from 3,300 sq ft.

The project is the second time Pochin’s has been brought on board by Chancerygate, with the North West specialist already on site delivering a 57,000 sq ft distribution centre for international parcel delivery company DPD.

The development is on the outskirts of Buckshaw Village and near the Waitrose Distribution Centre.

Work is due to start this month on the scheme and it is hoped that it will be completed in June 2018.

Jim Nicholson, CEO of Pochin’s, said: “As a business, we are committed to developing long-term relationships with the people we work with and Chancerygate is no different.

“Our shared knowledge and experience in the industrial sector makes for a fruitful partnership and we look forward to working closely with the team to deliver this latest project.”

Mike Walker, Development Director at Chancerygate, said: “We are delighted to be working with Pochin’s once more, especially given their track record in the North West. There is already a high level of interest in the scheme with over 30 per cent of the space now under offer on a pre-sale basis.”

Consultants on the project include Fletcher Rae, Bradbrook Consulting, Cudd Bentley Consulting and Feasibility. Agents on the scheme are Savills and Robert Pinkus & Co.

Work commences this month and is expected to complete in June 2018.
