THE first Upton-upon-Severn Victorian Christmas Market will include a number of great activities on Saturday November 27.

Tess Diorr, owner of Diorr Hair in New Street and member of the Tourism and Trade committee who organised the day explaied: “As a traditional Street Fayre the main road will be shut between 10am and 8pm so that everyone can enjoy the market atmosphere. We have 20 stalls with everything from traditional sweets, unusual gifts and retro clothing as well as fair rides and children can bring their Christmas lists to Father Christmas in his grotto.

“A Victorian policeman will be providing the street entertainment and amongst other things be riding on a Penny Farthing!”

Traders are also showing their support by taking part in the window display competition which will be judged on the day.

“Another competition that everyone can take part in is the Christmas Treats Raffle, you can buy your tickets from shops in the town now for just £1. Prizes include; a helicopter flight & meal for two provided by FLAPS International Smarter Air Charter, pantomime tickets, £50 Diorr hair vouchers, flowers and more.” added Tess.
