Schoolchildren have been writing and performing their own poetry, with the help of the Poet of the Peaks.
Youngsters at Carrwood Primary School, Holme Wood, Bradford, have been working with children’s poet Andy Tooze during a poetry week.
Assistant head teacher Barbara Brownlow said: “He has been writing poetry with every class, from reception to Year Six He also read some of his own poems and the children did performances to them. Pupils and teachers also shared poems they had written with the rest of the school in assemblies.”
