Volunteers could be drafted in to patrol Preston parks in a bid to stop vandalism.
A voluntary ranger service could be introduced with recruits keeping a watch for vandals.
Preston council is currently considering the scheme. A spokesperson said: “If approved, this scheme would encourage members of the public to volunteer to help park rangers to patrol the parks to tackle anti-social behaviour, and help out with conservation work and other park events.
"Proposals for this scheme are in their early stages.”
