Home closed down by police

A home in Walton-le-Dale has been closed down by police after repeated complaints regarding noise and threats made to neighbours.

William Irvine, 62, did not contest the three-month order secured by Lancashire police for his property at Church Brow.

Magistrates in Leyland also granted an interim anti-social order against Irvine, on the grounds of his behaviour while living there.

Sgt John Ainscough, of Leyland police, said: “This property on Church Brow was the cause of serious alarm and distress to other residents whose right to live in their own homes had been taken away by the actions of an individual who showed no respect for others.

“The property will now be boarded up for a period of three months where anyone found entering the house will be arrested and could face a fine or imprisonment.”
