A MOTORCYCLIST whose bike hit a car in Leyland earlier this month has died.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident, when the man's Suzuki motorbike hit a purple Citroen Picasso in Leyland Way at 2.35pm on Thursday, November 14.
The 59-year-old, of Leyland, suffered hip and ankle injuries which were initially not believed to be life threatening, but he passed away at Wigan Hospital on Wednesday following complications.
Sgt Steve Wignall from the Force Road Policing Unit said: "An investigation is under way but I would appeal to anybody that witnessed this collision to contact Lancashire Police on 101."
