Chorley businessman picks up award

A Chorley businessman has been presented with an Oscar' from the wall and floor tile industry.
Brian Newell, the founder and chairman of Shackerley (Holdings) Group Limited, has been recognised' for outstanding individual achievement' by The Tile Association, the trade body which brings together tile manufacturers, distributors, retailers and contractors from across the UK.
He is renowned internationally for his expertise in all matters pertaining to the design manufacture, specification and installation of ceramic wall tile products.
He said: "Being able to improve the core standards of quality and safety that underpin one's industry and spreading the message of Best Practice is extremely rewarding in its own right."
