A farm shop selling home reared meat and local produce has opened its doors after two years of planning and construction.
Silvesters Farm Food, based at Silvesters Farm, in Washington Lane, Euxton, opened for business last week after a long wait.
Co-owner Joanne Jackson said it had been a big day for the firm, adding: “The shop will primarily stock Silvesters Farm-reared meat which is ethically produced on site to the highest standard and is farm assured within the FABBL system.
"This means the meat is eligible to carry the Little Red Tractor Logo.”
She said that the shop is a work in progress with plans for an outdoor area with animals so that visitors can enjoy drinks and ice creams on a working farm.
