GRACE Davies admits that she still can’t quite believe all that has happened to her over the past few months.

From performing in pubs, she captivated millions of TV viewers on the way to finishing runner-up on The X Factor.

As she returned to Blackburn as part of a whistle-stop tour promoting the X Factor Live shows which head into major arenas next month, Grace, 20, said: “I don’t think it will ever sink in or that I’ll ever really come back down to earth.

“It was such a whirlwind and it all happened so quickly. It’s been incredible.

“The support I have had from everyone has been unbelievable.”

As well as having The X Factor tour to look forward to, Grace from Langho is also celebrating being offered a record deal by Syco, the label run by Simon Cowell.

“There is no timescale on the album,” she said. “I’m not sure if I’m going to recycle some of the songs I sang on the show or make a completely new album. I want to take my time with it because I want it to be perfect.

“The album will be my songs. It’s incredible to get a deal which allows me to do that but it’s important to me to write my own music because I want those songs to be my stories.”

But before the album, comes The X Factor Live tour which will feature the finalists from the show.

“The tour is mega exciting,” said Grace. “I’ve watched Robbie Williams, Adele, Katy Perry and Rihanna at Manchester Arena and now I’m going to be singing there. It’s going to be great. It’s going to be a whole load of emotions but such great fun.”

As if she hadn’t got enough to deal with with a major tour and debut album, Grace is also preparing to move to London at the weekend where she has got her first flat. And she’s also planning her 21st birthday party - she’ll be 21 on February 1.

“It’ll just be a little bash,” she said. “I want to thank the close friends and family who have been there since the beginning;

“It’s so exciting to be moving to London but I will be coming back here to see my mum and and and my cats.

“I’m just going to take things day by day and see how everything goes.”
