SCHOOLS across East Lancashire have been dressing up and doing all kinds of fundraising events for Children in Need.
People dressed up as Pudsey Bear, got the chance to dress down or do fun events to raise money for the fantastic cause.
At Padiham Primary, the school held a dress-down day so they could raise money for the BBC appeal.
They also did a similar thing at Intack Primary, Blackburn, where many of the children dressed up as Pudsey, as bears or in yellow to mark the occasion.
St Mary’s Nursery in Blackburn challenged their children aged one to five to “Do your rambling thing” and clock up steps to raise money to help change children’s lives, raising £469 so far.
At The Olive School in Blackburn, the school have raised £2,200 so far after fundraising this week.
Care 4 Kids in Blackburn held a bake-and-buy sale to raise money for the good cause.
At St Barnabas CE Primary Academy in Darwen, the RotaKids chose to support Children in Need and they planned and led the event.
They made cakes to sell to the children and each child came dressed in spotty clothes in exchange for a donation.
The Children in Need Appeal has raised more than £600million for good causes.
Last year, the appeal raised an incredible £46.6million.
This year, Katie Melua’s Fields of Gold is the official single of the appeal.
