IT’S a scene familiar throughout East Lancashire - youngsters in the school playground making up their own games and getting out in the fresh air.
This photograph from the Lancashire Telegraph archives was taken in 1992 at Holy Trinity Primary School, Darwen.
At the time there were plans to transform the grassy slope in the foreground into a school garden.
The hopscotch squares chalked on to the playground will bring many a happy memory back for many people as will the two small football pitches.
