A NEW company has been set up eager to help local businesses throughout the area.

Brand development business Brand Up North has been set up at the stables at Haworth Art Gallery in Accrington.

Ran by two experienced businessmen Jamie Kelly and Steven Samuels, they aim to work with companies in the area to help them with digital, campaigns, branding and marketing work.

Mr Kelly, from Rossendale, was keen to form the company in East Lancashire to have a positive effect on the area.

The 34-year-old said: “We are a Lancashire business at heart and I was keen to establish a studio just down the road in Accrington.

“We are very keen to work with successful local Lancashire businesses and establish ourselves as one of the Norths leading brand development businesses.

“I think because of the years of service me and Steve both have we can offer help to businesses with a lot of different projects.

“I’ve always wanted to go into my own business and have the chance to help people.

“We can offer that high quality but at a price that doesn’t scare them off.”

Mr Kelly has previously worked with companies such as the Co-op in Manchester, helping with its rebrand by leading the internal design studio and and helping across all areas of the organisation.

As the creative partner he works to ensure the design of the campaign and marketing offered is ‘beautiful and well-crafted’.

Mr Samuels, the managing partner, has worked for 25 years dealing with global businesses such as Best Western, The Co-op and Northern Powergrid.

The pair had previously worked together for another company in Manchester around seven years ago, but they were keen to start a new business in Lancashire.

The company currently is run by just the full-time two employees, who bring in developers when needed to work on different projects.

However they are looking to expand in the near future and bring in two more full time members of staff.

Mr Kelly said: “It’s also started off well so far, we’ve been pleased with the responses we are getting from people.

“We’re definitely looking to grow in the future, we want to get business from all across the North West.

“We’d like to bring in more employees, we’ve got plans for that very soon.”

The company also have a second office in Manchester outside there East Lancashire base, to help reach a wider number of businesses.
