THERE is plenty of fun to be had indoor and out in East Lancashire this weekend.

On Saturday, Pendleside Hospice is hosting a funday at Colne Rugby Club from 10am.

Animal lovers are invited to see the best the area has to offer at the Longridge Agricultural show, which starts from 9am on Saturday.

There will be plenty of stalls, rides and family entertainment as Roe Lee Park, Blackburn, hosts a summer fun day. The event starts at 12 noon and runs until 4pm.

St James’ School in Hoddlesden will host its own summer fair from 11am.

There will be free entry to Blakey’s in Blackburn as the bar plays host to a David Bowie flash mob from 1pm.

Towneley Park in Burnley will host a military tournament from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, while the Habergham Festival will take place at Gawthorpe Hall, Padiham, from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday.

Lancashire Adult Learning is holding a family fun day at Nelson and Colne College from 11am to 3pm on Saturday.

Whittaker Park, Haslingden Road, Rawtenstall, will host the town’s annual fair from 12pm on Saturday.

Saturday will be a late one for all those taking part in East Lancashire Hospice’s Starlight Memories Walk 2017. The event, which will celebrate 50 years of the hospice movement, will set off from the hospice in Blackburn at 9pm.

The Romans return to Ribchester Playing Fields from 11am on Saturday and Sunday.

And on Sunday, Samlesbury Hall will host an art fair from 11am to 4pm, while the Abu Hanifah Foundation is holding a community fun day from 1pm at Harrison Playing Fields, off Lammack Road, Blackburn.

Musicians will be hoping to hit the right note in Padiham Memorial Park during a free performance from 1pm to celebrate the new bandstand.

Dearden Tea Rooms, Haslingden, is hosting an Enchanted Rose Afternoon Tea from 3.45pm.

And East Lancashire Railway start their Summer Diesel Spectacular this weekend.
