AN appeal for information has been launched after bank cards were stolen from a car and used in shops.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to.

The bank cards were taken from a car in Whalley between 4.45pm on Wednesday and 6.45am on Thursday, police believe.

They were then used at shops in Whalley and Burnley.

A police spokesman said: “We received a report on Thursday that a wallet had been taken from a car parked on Elm Close.

“It is believed the offence happened sometime between 4.45pm on Wednesday, October 19 and 6.45am the following morning.

“The cards were then used at a number of shops in the Whalley and Burnley areas.

“We think the man pictured could have important information and we really need your help to find him so we can speak to him.”
