TWO sisters facing a charge of conspiracy to commit arson, after a fire at a house in Clayton-Le-Moors, have been cleared.

Natasha Housby, 25, of Spencer Street, Accrington, and Kira Housby, 23, of Selby Close, Accrington, always denied conspiring to commit arson, being reckless as to whether life was endangered and conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation.

It was ruled they had no case to answer at Burnley Crown Court.

But their partners Samuel Todd, 26, also of Spencer Street, and Ryan Ibbitson, 21, of Colthirst Drive, Clitheroe, face a fresh trial after the previous jury was discharged.

Both men, who admitted a charge of producing cannabis, face one count of conspiring to commit arson, and being reckless as to whe- ther life was endangered. Todd also faces a charge of conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation.

They are set to face a re-trial at Burnley Crown Court on February 6.
