AN alleged garden centre thief has been sent for crown court trial by magistrates in relation to four offences in East Lancashire and North Yorkshire, which are said to have netted hauls totalling at least £11,100.

Dominic Jordan Crook, 22, is accused of breaking into Robertshaw Garden Machinery at Kelbrook on July 14, and stealing equipment totalling £3,048.
Crook, of Jubilee Street, Oswaldtwistle, is also charged with a July raid at Horns Garden Machinery, at Claughton-on-Brock, stealing garden equipment worth £4,685 and a break-in at Becks Garden Machinery on April 12 at Hellifield, where £3,390 of goods were said to have been taken.
Another alleged burglary at a Horns centre, this time in Forton, near Lancaster, also saw garden equipment stolen, of an unknown value, around July 27.
Crook was remanded in custody by Pennine magistrates to appear at Burnley Crown Court for a plea hearing on September 24.
