WATCH our video from a recent wine event to find out more about two major appellations of the Loire Valley – Rosé d’Anjou and Touraine - and the best food and wine matches.
The Loire Valley is one of the most important wine regions in France and is home to some of the world’s best wines.
To show off a number of the region’s favourite drops, wine expert and writer Tom Canavan hosted a wine tasting event.
Guests were given the chance to sample six unique wines from the Loire Valley: one red and two whites from the Touraine region – where Sauvignon blanc is the signature grape and three Rosé d’Anjou - offering off-dry pink wines - These were all paired with a special menu prepared by Chef Neil Forbes.
Cheese expert Phoebe Weller was also on hand to recommend her favourite cheeses to complement each glass of wine.
