I’M A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! winner Carl Fogarty will be revving up support for a children’s hospice during an upcoming visit.

Four-times World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty and his good friend and former British champion James Whitham have committed to raising funds for Derian House Children’s Hospice.

The pair will be fundraising during their theatre tour, Foggy and Whit: The King and I, which visits Preston in September.

Foggy, who recently celebrated his 50th birthday, will also visit Derian House to meet the children on Monday, August 10.

Carl said: “The people behind Derian House Children’s Hospice do some amazing work and we couldn’t think of a better cause to get involved with.

“Our aim is to raise as much money as we possibly can through the charity raffle and hopefully highlight the charity’s good deeds in the process.

“We’ve been touring for a few years now and I’m looking forward to performing so close to my home in Mellor.”

Derian House volunteers will be selling raffle tickets at Tesco in Chorley on Saturday, August 8, with the winners receiving a pair of VIP tickets to the show at the Guild Hall, and the chance to meet Foggy and Whit backstage.

In the four years they’ve been touring the show they’ve raised more than £30,000 for charities around the UK.

Derian House relies on its own efforts to raise its £3.5m annual target.

Foggy & Whit: King and I takes place at Preston Guild Hall on Wednesday September 23.
