RMT suspended its strike action which would have disrupted both the bank holiday Monday day-trippers and commuters on Tuesday.

An RMT spokesperson confirmed the union had “suspended the action” and said the decision had been reached following a “revised offer” from National Rail.
The spokesperson, however, stressed that the action was not cancelled, merely suspended whilst the union “consulted in full with all members of our Network Rail representation”.
The industrial action would have been the worst rail strike in 20 years.
A spokesman for Northern Rail, which runs services from Blackpool to Leeds through East Lancashire, said: "All Northern Rail services will operate as normal on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 May."
