They especially need shower gels for men, and shavers and shaving foam, although they cannot accept blocks of soap.

All donations will be presented to Nightsafe, based in Blackburn, which provides shelter and support services for homeless people aged between 16 and 24.

Martin Mashiter-Coates, Funeral Director at The Co-operative Funeralcare in Blackburn, said: “It is vital we support local good causes and charities, such as Nightsafe.

“We are delighted to help support them and raise awareness of the great work they do, and also collect much-needed toiletries for some of the most vulnerable young people in the local area.”

Nightsafe started in 1990 and is a charity supporting homeless people aged 16-24 years. It provides services to homeless and vulnerable young people.

It now provides support and services, including a day centre, emergency accommodation and supported housing for homeless and vulnerable young people.

It has helped more than 10,000 young people, given 30,000 nights off the street, provided 100,000 meals and had 400 dedicated volunteers.
