Chance for East Lancashire people to save on their energy bills
6:00am Tuesday 19th February 2013 in East Lancashire
HOUSEHOLDERS across East Lancashire could save £250 each as part of a new energy switching scheme. The initiative called People Power is led by 13 councils and could see individuals make the savings if the target of 15,000 residents signs up to the scheme. Residents are being urged to review their bills and get involved in the innovative scheme to ensure they get the very best energy deal possible.
Coun Kate Hollern, leader of Blackburn with Darwen Council, said: “This Lancashire-wide scheme is an excellent example of how, by working together, your local councils are helping people save money from their energy bills.
“We would urge residents to sign up to the scheme and ask their families to do the same.”
Gemma Johnson, CEO of money-saving website, MyFamilyClub.co.uk said: “As a mum of two with one on the way, I’m extremely pleased to see Lancashire councils coming together to help families across the county save money on their energy bills.”
To register, visit www.peoplepower.co.uk before midnight on April 8.

Well done to Lancashire's Councils for something that could really help people with their spiralling fuel bills.

First of all you have to change all your direct debits )which aint always easy believe me) Then different companies have different ways of billing you so for the first few months you can find yourself in a right frazzle. Stiil on the subject of billing, some companies have straightforward no nonsense bills, others, well you have to be a Californian lawyer to sort them out.
At the end of it all, there is not a tissue paper's thickness between them.
