A young Coppull bookworm has received multiple awards from a local library.
Lois Rimmer, eight, has completed the Lancashire Libraries Monster Reading Challenge a record four times.
Lois first read 60 books to gain the gold award in May 2007 when she was only aged six but as she loves to read she decided to keep starting the challenge again.
To complete the award four times, Lois has read an astonishing 240 books from Coppull Library.
Cuppul Library branch manager, Glennis Walmsley, said that although many children in Coppull have completed the challenge, no one else has done it four times.
She added: "Lois has been a regular visitor to the Library since she was very young and we are very proud of her achievement."
"The summer reading challenge this year is called the Quest Seekers and will commence on the July 17.
"I'm sure that Lois will be one of the first to enter and have no trouble at all reading another six books to get yet another medal and certificate soon."
