The Chisnall Hall colliery site at Coppull Moor is to be the site of a large woodland.

More than 4,000 trees will be planted this winter to add to the two fields already planted as the first stage of a master plan that will eventually see over 60,000 trees forming a 145 acre site.

The county council has already consulted people about this scheme which is part of a programme of new woodlands to be planted in honour of The Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
