Chorley tenants set for fun at community room
4:00pm Saturday 13th October 2012 in Chorley
Scheme coordinator Sue Taylor at Calder Avenue with the delighted tenants
Tenants of Calder Avenue were delighted when they found out that they had been awarded £1,200 from Chorley Community Housing’s neighbourhood fund.
The money has been used to create a community room at the office of their sheltered housing scheme by knocking two small rooms through to create one large room which can now be used by all the residents.
Sue Taylor, Scheme Coordinator at Calder Avenue said: “The tenants have some great ideas for things they would like to do at the new community room and have even brought in a Nintendo Wii so they can keep active and have fun together.”
