A crack down on Chorley dog walkers who fail to pick up after their pets is underway.
In the last week, 10 fixed penalty notices have been issued, mainly for dog fouling, compared with 36 in a 20-week period last year during the council’s Don’t Be a Dirty Dog Campaign.
Councillor Eric Bell, said: “The campaign last year was a huge success and resulted in a 30 per cent reduction in the number of calls and complaints about dog fouling.”
