A MOTORWAY has re-opened after an earlier accident near Chorley.
The incident took place on the M61 Southbound between junctions eight and nine at 1.10pm.
Lancahshire Fire Service tweeted: “ @Preston_Fire, firefighters from Bamber Bridge and Horwich responded to a RTC on the M61 Southbound between J8 and J9. No-one was trapped and there was no fire but firefighters administered first aid to casualties, assisting NWAS paramedics and Air Ambulance.”
