CHORLEY is set to celebrate the Chinese New Year in style.
2015 is the year of the goat and Croston artist Martin O’Connor will be creating a sculpture of a goat from recycled materials.
To help with the sculpture, the council needs people to donate empty, one litre clear plastic bottles (not milk bottles) which can be brought to the council offices in Union Street.
The main event is on Thursday and Friday February 19 and 20 at Chorley Market and people of all ages can come along to see the sculpture taking shape, take part in arts and crafts and design a wish tag to tie to the goat.
The completed goat will be on display at Astley Hall’s Walled Garden over the weekend February 21 and 22.
